USES: Vitamins are the building blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnesses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as directed. Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin products. Consult your pharmacist. Effervescent tablets are to be dissolved in four to eight ounces of water (120ml to 240ml). Stir to make sure the tablet is dissolved completely before drinking. Do not swallow the tablets.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause mild nausea or unpleasant taste. Consult your doctor if any of these effects persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Be sure your doctor is informed of your complete medical history and present condition before taking this medicine. Do not exceed recommended dosage if you are pregnant or nursing.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor if you take any other medication, including nonprescription. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stools.
NOTES: There are many vitamin supplement products available. Some can be purchased without a prescription. Consult your doctor or pharmacist on the choice of a product best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.
