Miconazole Injection

COMMON BRAND NAME: Monistat
USES: This medication is used to treat a fungal infection.
HOW TO USE: This medication will be administered by a health care professional. It may take several days to several months to complete treatment. This depends upon the type and location of the infection.
SIDE EFFECTS: You may experience diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or get worse, contact your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: skin rash, hives, itching, fever, chills, pain at injection site. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: liver problems. This medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy only if clearly needed. It is not known if this drug appears in breast milk. Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor about all the medicines you use (both prescription and nonprescription). Inform your doctor if you are taking: anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), diabetes drugs, isoniazid, rifampin, rifabutin, phenytoin, cisapride. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Do not share this product with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, contact your health care professional who may adjust your dosing schedule.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C).
